The collaboration between Prada and Adidas continues to step forward, with their third collaborative drop charting new territories for sustainability.
First launched in late 2019 and with a second drop released in 2020, the somewhat unexpected partnership of Prada and Adidas has ended up being one of the strongest examples of a holistic fusion of two design partners’ visions.
Stripping things down to the core design elements of both brands, the collections have offered a visionary synthesis of minimal style, effortless cool, and thoughtful functionality.
In addition to carrying forward these style elements, the new release moves Prada’s commitment to sustainability into the future. All of the collection’s nylon elements are crafted in Re-Nylon, a material that is created entirely of recycled plastic salvaged from oceans, fishing nets, landfills, and textile fiber waste. The collection thus marks the first successful example of Prada’s goal to pivot entirely to Re-Nylon by the end of 2021.
The collection is captured in an appropriately very minimal campaign, compiling slick and straightforward studio imagery into a comprehensive lookbook for the collection.
