The North Face ‘Summer Base Camp’ is a two-week summer camp program offering a variety of free online experiences taught by the brand’s athlete ambassadors.
“Created for curious explorers who love a little mess, Summer Base Camp teaches campers of all ages how to find adventure at home,” The North Face said.
“Each week, Summer Base Camp will launch three new educational, hands-on, fun-filled activities for campers and parents to complete at their own pace at home, with activities guided by our very own team athletes.”
Beginning July 20, the first week will include a course in adventure photography with photographer and mountaineer, Jimmy Chin; lessons in geometric designs with climber, Nina Williams; and snack making lessons with climber, Ashima Shiraishi.
The camp’s second week starts on July 27, and will offer mapmaking lessons and navigational tips with ultra runner, Coree Woltering; survival skills with climber, Manoah Ainuu; and lessons in base camp building and packing from ski mountaineer, Hilaree Nelson.
Registration for the summer base camp is open now on the brand’s website.
